Minnesota students who need to take an ATV/OHM safety course for their safety certification can now finish their online training at www.offroad-ed.com/minnesota. The new course is engaging, mobile friendly, and approved by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
The course is responsive and available on any device or smartphone with Internet capabilities. It also features exciting live-action videos, realistic illustrations and animations that make learning safe ATV/OHM operating a fun and interactive experience. The course is Minnesota specific, with lessons revolving around the local trails that students will be riding on. Lessons cover topics such as off-highway motorcycle operation, Class 2 ATV operation, and more.
“Our goal in developing the new Minnesota ATV/OHM course was to create a fun and engaging educational experience that would stand out in our students’ minds,” said Kurt Kalkomey, CEO of Kalkomey Enterprises, Inc., which produces offroad-ed.com. “Our content and videos are meant to provide students with the opportunity to explore and select the best option for staying safe while operating on Minnesota’s vast trail system.”
Students can begin studying the material at offroad-ed.com for free. To get a Certificate of Completion, students 16 years of age or older pay a one-time fee only after passing the Certification Exam. These students may order their permanent Minnesota ATV/OHM Safety Certificate from the MN DNR. Students 15-11 years of age or younger who pass the Certification Exam will pay a one-time fee before printing their ATV/OHM Safety Voucher, and they will receive their ATV/OHM Safety Certificate after successfully completing Hands-On Training. The Hands-On Training is not required for OHM-only certification.
